What is List-Unsubscribe
Definition
List-Unsubscribe is an email header that adds an “Unsubscribe” button right in the mail client UI. Under RFC 8058 it supports one-click unsubscribe, which lowers spam complaints.
The header carries a mailto and/or https unsubscribe handler; one-click needs the POST variant. Since 2024 Gmail and Yahoo require this header for bulk senders.
