What is Feedback Loop (FBL)
A Feedback Loop (FBL) is a mechanism by which a mailbox provider tells the sender that a recipient hit “Report spam”. On receiving a complaint, the sender must remove that address from mailings immediately.
FBLs are set up with Yahoo (CFL), Outlook (JMRP), Mail.ru and via Google Postmaster Tools. Complaints arrive in ARF format at abuse@ or postmaster@. A complaint rate above 0.1–0.3% already endangers reputation.
