What is DMARC
Definition
DMARC is a DNS policy that tells receivers what to do with mail failing SPF and DKIM: allow (none), send to spam (quarantine) or reject. DMARC also emails you reports on who is sending mail using your domain.
It is published as a “_dmarc.domain” TXT record like “v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:dmarc@domain”. Roll it out in stages: p=none → quarantine → reject, watching the aggregate reports. DMARC requires alignment with SPF or DKIM.
