What is SPF
Definition
SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is a TXT DNS record that lists the servers and IP addresses allowed to send mail for your domain. The receiving server checks the sender IP against that list and rejects or flags mail from anything else.
SPF is published as a single TXT record at the domain root (e.g. “v=spf1 include:_spf.provider.com -all”). The -all directive forbids sending from any other address. SPF is one of the three authentication pillars alongside DKIM and DMARC.
